The
Standard Limited Edition Prints have all sold but I have a number
of the Unsigned Prints which are exactly the same size and quality.
To
clear these I will offer the remaining unsigned print at £9.00
PLUS shipping. These do not form part of the strictly Limited
Edition Prints.
And
we have some artist proofs too.
However
the real prize is the multi-signed Prints, and to be honest I would
not be unhappy to keep the few still remaining !!

Art Tweedale was a determined Anglo-American club racer, competing alongside
Frank Baptista amongst others, and he became involved with Elva sport
racing cars during the late 1950's. He achieved success in the early cars,
and decided during 1959 that he should visit the newly built Hastings
factory, but later commented, "All the mechanics seemed to
have was a set of tools comprising of a file and a hacksaw! There was
just one welding outfit with four hoses and two torches, and not a drawing
in the place. The cars just happen."
Having just
received the latest Elva MK.V., Chuck Dietrich replied that if this were
true then he commended the mechanics for their expertise with the files
and hacksaw, while Elva General Manager Bill Meace retorted with a smile
"It was lucky that Tweedale had not visited the workshops
of either Lola or Lotus, as he would not even have found the file!"
And so from
the first 1172cc prototype Elva until the building of the big-banger V8
McLaren customer cars, there was much filing and sawing and many wonderful
cars were produced. The wide ranging skills of a dedicated Elva team ensured
that these cars did happen, and this painting is a tribute to everyone
who contributed to their success.
