Front-engined Formula Junior 100/29

This stunning example was sold from the Hastings factory to “J. Smith” as an export specification car shipped to the United States. It was brought back to the UK by John Harper in 1981 and later sold to P. Bowker in 1983. It then went overseas again having been bought by Alessandro Ripamont, and from Italy moved to Switzerland to the ownership of Colin Ruffell. Colin then moved to Australia and so the car raced there until yet again returning to the UK via Chris Alford. It then went to John Quenby who sold the car to the present owner in 2004. Mike embarked on a total rebuild (full photographic record) which included a reconditioned Swiftune engine, new roll bar and of course current FIA papers.

This ‘100’ series Elva F/J could be a potential Goodwood entry for 2009.
