1963 Courier MK III, Price: US$23,000

Manufacturer Serial Number: E1052

Own a piece of racing history, The Elva Courier, the car that racing legend Mark Donahue started in.

This Courier Serial # E1052 was ordered in January 1963 and shipped to Carl Haas in April of 1963.

It is a roadster, LHD, original factory colors were red with blue trim, it had a 1622cc MG engine. After it’s first season it was sold to Don Kopiski, of Plymouth WI, who raced it in SCCA from 1965 to 1970. While Kopiski owned the car it was raced in E Production by Sheboygan County racing legends Jim Le Mahieu and Don Kopiski.

In 1970 I purchased the car and converted it to D Production by upgrading it to the 1800 CC MGB Drive train. I raced the car from 70 to 74, During that period Mike Froh also used it to get his SCCA Racing License. Since 1974 it has been sitting in my brother Jon's garage waiting patiently to get back on the track.
