1959 Formula Junior 100, Chassis: 100/29
A chance to acquire and enjoy this stunning car and to be part of one of the best organised and most competitive historic championships. The car is eligible for both the uk including front-engine only rounds and the European Lurani series. French blue with white nose and wheels in the last two seasons the car has benefited from new rear hub carriers, completely overhauled running gear, new brakes, wishbones, fire systems, full chassis check and rolloverbar.
Currently running a very strong 1098 Swiftune engine on Webers (SU's included if required) this elva has a good history including the Goodwood Revival and Paul and has recently raced on the Brands GP. Silverstone GP and most of the UK club circuits. Current HTP papers. This beautiful example of the Elva 100 was sold from the Hastings factory to J. Smith as an export specification car; it was bought back to the uk by John Harper in 1981 and later sold to P. Bowker in 1983. It then went overseas with Alessandro Ripamont, and from Italy moved to Switzerland and owership of Colin Ruffell then on to Australia when Colin moved; finally back to the uk via Chris Alford. It was then sold to John Quenby CEO of the MSA who raced this car extensively across europe before selling to Mike Ketcher in 2004.
This elva 100 has great potential and would be eligible for Goodwood 2012. Includes a host of spares including bodywork. Superb and ready to race.
