ELVA Mk.IV Courier T-Type V8. Chassis ID E1202 (withdrawn)
Withdrawn from sale ... owner having too much fun in the car!
This most interesting Courier Mk.IV T-Type was one of the last batch built by Ken Sheppard for Trojan-Elva and was shipped for Carl Haas in early 1965 with LHD before heading to Canada. The Courier later moving to a new owner in Germany before it was registered in the UK in December 1970 when it was converted to RHD by Ken Sheppard/Tony Ellis. A few years later it was converted to V8 power with the addition of nitrous oxide injection as an optional boost if needed! The car has never been raced or involved in an accident having been carefully used by the present owner as a long legged cruiser with ample power complimented by excellent handling and comfort.
While not in "Concours d'Elegance" condition, this Courier is very presentable and sound with Waxoyl treatment to the chassis and will be subjected to an MOT inspection before delivery to the new owner. The seating has been refurbished and the drive train including gearbox and differential has been modified and upgraded to cope with the increased power.
