Post International Historic Motoring Awards (2012)
From OCTANE magazine ...

Congratulations to all our finalists, and commiserations to those who did not make it onto the shortlist this year.
With so many worthy candidates, it's not been an easy task to whittle them all down!

And the finalists are...

Thank you to everyone who nominated the entries in this year's International Historic Motoring Awards. Our shortlist of finalists is now complete, the final judging has begun, and the results will be announced at the gala dinner in London on 29 November.

Publication of the Year

Inside the Paddock – Racing Car Transporters at Work (David Cross)
XJ13 – The definitive story of the Jaguar Le Mans car (Peter Wilson)
Archie Frazer-Nash… Engineer (Trevor Tarring and Mark Joseland)
Doctor on the Grid (Tony Goodwin)
Elva: The Cars, The People, The History (János Wimpffen)

Vitesse-Elegance: French Expression of Flight and Motion (Serge Bellu and Michael Furman)

We would, of course, like to see the award given to Janos and the Elva book, however I have previously highly recommended both the superb work of David Cross and the extremely interesting and entertaining book by Tony Goodwin. Make sure that all are on your Christmas wish lists!!
