Post DAN GURNEY 1931 - 2018
It was with great sadness that I learned today that Dan Gurney has passed at the age of 86.
We have lost another of the hugely talented gentleman drivers from the 1960's era, but Dan was one of the even more exceptional people who designed and built the cars he was to drive by forming the AAR team, resulting in the fantastically successful Eagle series of F1 and Indycars.
Not just race winning cars but beautiful too!
So stunningly beautiful that some time ago I asked my good friend and accomplished artist Christopher Dugan to produce an image of the AAR Gurney-Weslake Eagle, and the original painting was then reproduced as a limited edition series of quality prints.
We were delighted that Dan enthusiastically approved of the image and kindly signed a number of these prints. I later had a very pleasant chat with him at Goodwood and also visited designer Len Terry at his home where he was happy to share stories about his involvement with Dan as a crucial part of the AAR team when they were based in the UK and later across the pond.
A fitting tribute to Dan can be found at https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/13389 ... y-19312018 and elsewhere.

Much respected and certainly hugely admired: It was a privilege to meet you. RIP Sir.

Thank you to those who have enquired about the Eagle Gurney Weslake prints which were personally signed by Dan Gurney and Len Terry .. yes I do have a very small number and so please share your location and I can quote for a cost including shipping.
For the saddest of reasons these will surely become a collectors item. RAD
