 The works supported couriers
We are researching details of the early factory supported cars, namely 528 GRB - Peter Gammons courier, VGN 111 - Tom Barnard's courier & 9 FPE - Chris Meeks car.
VGN 111 is in our custody and we are currently returning it to 1958 specification, but if anyone has any details or period photos of any of the above cars, with the bonnet open, of the interior we would be very grateful. We have a hole in VGN history, we know that in 1958 it raced in the hands of Tom Barnard & then we loose in for 2 years until it re appears in 1961 in the hands of Mike Coombe until 62, 7 then we know that Gerry Trace bought the car. But what happened between then is still a mystery, can anyone shed light?
It would be interetsting to know what happened to the Gammon & Meek cars, did they like many old race cars dissapear when the values dropped and they were no longer competitive, or did they meet a grisley end in a wall, or do they still survive in different guises with different plates?

 Re: The works supported couriers
Do you have the chassis numbers? Have you contacted Gary the registrar? The registry is a little lite on the home market cars but he might have something. I assume you’ve seen the picture on page 131 of “the book”.
