 Elva Adverts 1955-68
This ad appeared in the Lime Rock program and in the May, 1958 Sports Car Illustrated magazine that also had the MK II road test.

Advertisement ca. 1958 A MK III is shown along with a Courier. The "Vogue Motors" in Chicago was that of Burdette Martin. The Dallas dealer was "Bo Crim" (can someone verify this?).

Millard "Rip" Ripley owned a car dealership in New York and drove this MK IIb at Sebring in 1958, and joined us for the 2008 Elva Anniversary at Sebring.

 Re: Elva Adverts 1955-68
Ran across this photo in one of the 1990's "Elva Newsletter" being published in the US. The ad was for a new Harley-Davidson. I haven't been able to locate the race that included a #91 Elva MK 7 at Road America, seen in the background. Maybe someone can?

 Re: Elva Adverts 1955-68
Beginning in 1991 or thereabouts, Lee Brenneison of Berea, Ohio, edited a Newsletter for the "Elva Owners of America." He asked for contributions showing Elva ads, and printed this one in Vol IV, No, 1 of the newsletter. The ad must be from around 1960.

Carl Haas imported Elvas and here is an ad from ca. 1963(?). It was reproduced in EOA Newsletter Vol.4, No.2 (1994):

 Re: Elva Adverts 1955-68
Domenic Ravesi was a Austin-Healey racer in New England in the mid-1950-'s and then a renown cam grinder. He also sold Elvas and here is a small ad that appeared in Sports Cars Illustrated in 1958. And something makes me think Ravesi had the first Lotus MK VI in the US.

A 1964 ad for the Elva Courier MK IV. Amazing number of dealers listed.

 Re: Elva Adverts 1955-68
The Harley Elvason ad is not 1963, the 1963 car had a different rollbar. I believe it might be car 70P/047 and I suspect it is 1965 or later. Your submissions have been great. Would you mind sending me higher resolution images of the Harley ad and the Mk VII line drawing. I would be very interested in any Mk VII Elva data you have. Hope to meet you at the Road American reunion in September. Gregory Campbell gcampbell@hazco.com

Berdie Martin looking at one of his 1957 "Vogues Motors" advertisements. Berdie was at the 2010 Reunion at Road America.
