Post Elva Courier Mk 3 Brake Calipers
I am trying to find information about my 1963 Courier Mk 3 brake calipers. Embossed on the caliper is 12 MP and has the following numbers/letters stamped on it: 3DA20029 and 64325591. I was told the Couriers used Girling calipers, but Girling is not stamped on the caliper?

Can anyone tell me specifically what car the original calipers were sourced from and what year?

I have be told the that the Courier Mk 3 used Triumph Herald brake parts as well as the early Triumph GT6. Not sure which is correct?

I would like to use originals parts if possible - can anyone help? Thanks Bill

Your 12MP calipers are the same as mine and are original to the car. They are Triumph Spitfire4 from 1962, two 43mm pistons per side. Are yours totally rusted/seized? You can still get pistons and kits for them.

The attached is the Girling produced information for the brakes on both the Mk3 & Mk4 Couriers in case that's of help.
