The SVRA group have arranged with the prestigious VIRGINIA INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY, located at Alton VA, for ELVA to celebrate the anniversary as the featured marque during the 2020 Heacock Classic Gold Cup weekend, the date in September 2020 to be confirmed shortly.

Rick is an ELVA owner with a brace of Mk.VI sports racers currently under restoration. Interested non-racers, street Couriers are welcomed in the general Car Show on Saturday, Sept.26.

Event is still on as of this date, more to come as SVRA recovers from COVID shutdown and re-scheduling spring events.

IMPORTANT UPDATE ... THE ELVA (65th) REUNION SVRA/VIR EVENT ... SADLY A DNS.

Firstly a huge THANK YOU all who responded to the requests for your thoughts and support for the proposed event, and the folk at the SVRA who have been hugely encouraging and determined to see the event take place at the superb VIR facility next month.
The enthusiastic response to the recent 'survey' was overwhelmingly supportive, BUT there were unsurprisingly massive health concerns relating to the COVID-19 pandemic which has meant that realistically the Reunion can not go ahead.

So a DNS this time but hopefully the support can be rekindled for 2021 so watch this space.

However, all is not lost for 2020 as the SVRA is to hold the HAGERTY Car Show at the VIR, and this certainly deserves your consideration and support please : details here ...

Each $50.00 Car Show registration includes: - 2 Weekend passes to the Vintage Auto Races - Event poster and program - Touring laps on the Virginia International Raceway in your show car - VIP Parking - Full access to the race car paddock The Corvette is the featured marque this year. With crisp mornings and warm days, September at “America’s Motorsports Resort” has long been a favorite weekend on SVRA’s calendar. The Heacock Classic Gold Cup combines speed, thrills and heritage, on the same track where many of our vintage cars raced when Virginia International Raceway first opened in 1957. The Trans Am Series by Pirelli and International GT will also be racing as a part of this VIR weekend. In addition, a separate group of first generation Mazda Miata competition cars will compete in the Miata Heritage Cup Series. "
