Looks like a TR2-3 door striker plate shown in the Moss Motors online catalog.
Part #803-640 might want to check local sources before shipping halfway around the world.

The pictured plate doesn't look that worn. Maybe it's the latch or adjustment or shimming would address the problem? Looks like Dave's mate really kicked that bucket.
