Post subject:  The Trojan-Elva Courier Mk.4 suspension queries …

There has been email correspondence with regard to the original source of the suspension parts used during the build of the cars generally accepted to be supplied by Standard Triumph … but there were variations of the parts used on the different vehicle manufactured by Standard Triumph in the mid 1960’s era.
The specific query related to a Courier Mk.4 front suspension and I knew that Dr. Dan Mitchell here in the UK was most likely to know the answer … here it is …
“ Wishbones, uprights, and stub axles plus bearings and seals are all GT6 according to my notes on my first Mk 4 T-Type chassis no E1172 and my current Mk4 T -Type E1125 rebuild data
Total years of Mk4 T -Type ownership now 19 ! “ Without doubt the guru!
So .. Elva Courier Mk 4 T -Type front suspension is Triumph GT6
Suppliers on both side of the pond …. https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID008048. THANK YOU DAN!

As for the rear irs suspension used, this was sourced from the TVR Griffiths from the same era.
Dan asked me to add …. Elva Mk 4 T-Type rear independent suspension components
Nigel Reuben Racing builds new TVR Mk1 cars for racing. They make all the rear suspension units which are identical to the rear suspension on the Elva Mk 4 T -Type
