Post subject:  A Courier Tool Roll

I received a request from Steve Patti relating to Courier tool roll info as per Trojan built Mk.3 E1043 ... the first time that query had been made in near forty years! So looking through the archives I found ...
Trojan supplied a khaki coloured cloth tool roll with (1 off each) ...
Spanner 1/2 x 7/16 AF
Spanner 11/16 x 3/4 AF
Spanner 7" adjustable
Screwdriver
6" Pliers
Spark plug spanner
Tommy Bar 5/16 diam x 6"
Jack c/w handle
Mallet hide No.2

All of the above was supplied by 'Shelley' ... From 1961 Shelley was known as general engineers, manufacturing tools and components for automobiles, aero engines; also manufacturing lifting jacks for private and commercial vehicles. 400 employees. In 1969 another jack maker bought out Shelley and the company was renamed Tangye-Shelley.

Two Terry spring clips used to locate the tool roll in the boot/trunk space. Assume this applied to all the Trojan Courier types.

No doubt some wag commented that they supplied more tools than had been used to build the cars!
