This car is well know to ELVA Racing as we undertook a long and expensive restoration of 100/33/R a good number of years ago, now being offered by Ivan Dutton having previously been sold via this website.

Current advert in Motorsport magazine follows but also archive images thanks to Barry Worsey and Jim Lowry.. The car certainly has a most interesting and significant racing history and quite a collection of owners. Barry drove the car during the period 1958-60 when he recalls that despite being a purely competition car, it was often driven to the circuits with it's powerful 1500cc engine, a (Derrington) cross-flow head, close-ratio box, no trim and cut down perspex screen. It was unbeatable in club races but Barry also had great success in hill-climbs too.

Not the least expensive but a wonderful car to own and use.

The windscreen in the lower pic looks much like the one fitted to 10/4/L when I bought it. More wrap around than MkII screens I've seen. Thought it might be Sunbeam??

This rather special example of the early Courier had now been sold .. the previous owner Ivan Dutton had not really wanted to part with this car, but it has it has now found a new caretaker in the south of France.
It will be much enjoyed ...
