hello, I´m looking for a frame for a softtop for my Courier 100/37/L with the split window.
It would help me, if i could see an example . I have the softtop and the frame of an TR 3 does not fit
The other thing I need, is a petrol tank.
A Friend of mine goes to the TR- and MG- Market in GB this week and this could be a possibility to meet someone who could help?

This might be a tough one Andreas. 100/37/L is near the change to steel tube bow (UK hood sticks)

Roger has an excellent drawing of the Mk.II bows, but not much help to you with split vee flat glass screen.

Does anyone know where the early fuel tank was sourced from? Someone once told me early VW but it doesn't look like the later Vdub tank I'm familiar with.

Certainly not VW .. however as most things Elva, off-the-shelf parts were usually modified and in this case the the filler inlet was relocated to suit the Courier application.
Elva Racing fabricated new alloy fuel tanks for the cars we restored for greater capacity and better safety.
Not rocket science. The weather equipment is normally made to fit properly to each car and any competent trim specialist will be able to advise and provide. The notion that Elva parts will be found at some swop meeting is most likely fantasy as the cars were very much hand built and variations common. That's why we love them!!!!

I've had a number of Minors in the '58-'63 range, never an early split screen/low light but they were rectangular in shape, long and narrow. The tank in 10/4/L is more square with well rounded corners. With many cars changed to fuel cells maybe a racer has an original stuffed in a dusty corner?
